Richard Dixon is a professional fine artist of 33 years experience who has exhibited globally for the past 26 years.He has owned galleries and art publishing enterprises operating on a worldwide scale, currently using these skills to manage art projects related to exhibitions of his own art and that of other talented artists. The primary focus of his art is the presentation of images that reflect the history, cultures, landscape and mythology of Western Canada and the Western Arctic regions.To this end he has for the last 20 years created paintings that are historical dramas of life in Western Canada during the eras of the fur trade and native occupation of the land, many of which hang in major corporate, government, museum and private collections worldwide.His series "The Canadian Spirit Series" were the official gift presentations at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
